The Professional Driver Qualification Act (BKrFQG) regulates the training and further education of professional drivers. It is based on Directive 2003/59 / EC and came into force on October 1, 2006.

The BKrFQG is intended to increase road safety and improve the economic driving style of professional drivers. These and other goals are set out in Appendix 1 (p. 5) of the Professional Driver Qualification Ordinance (BKrFQV). They also form the framework for all training centers that offer training for professional drivers.
